Sometimes, retail therapy is a must and last weekend it definitely helped! I visited my sister who is currently at Uni studying Drama and our time together consisted of food, shopping, more food and more shopping! 😂 Despite being poor for a week, I had an amazing time and can’t wait to do it again!
As soon as I finished work last Friday, I hopped on the bus to Bristol. It was a double decker and me being an absolutely kid, I couldn’t resist and had to sit on the top at the front 😆 and as December was only a week away, I couldn’t help but listen to a few festive tracks to pass the journey! ☺️🎄
As soon as I got off the bus, my sister was there and all we could do was laugh as we had spotted each other before I had arrived at the bus station 😂 I honestly don’t know how I saw her in the sea of Black Friday shoppers! There was so many!😂😄 We then set off to Dr. Martens as I desperately needed some new work shoes as my old ones were literally falling apart! There were so many amazing shoes but I settled on a pair I fell in love with and Anneka also bought some boots!
We then popped into Cath Kidston as I had wanted to buy myself a new rucksack as my one was falling apart (Everything I own basically needs replacing!😂) We also had a look at some of there new Christmas range which looked beautiful!🎄❤️
Afterwards, we went to Anneka’s dorm as I wanted to freshen up as I had been at work and after this day, I definitely needed it (#hospitallife 😳🤢🏥😂) It was my first time visiting her place and a part of me was a tad jealous as the view from her room looks over the city and even some countryside! Once I was ready (and disinfected 😂) we both went to Zizzi’s and had pizza!
After our meal we looked around the Christmas Market for a bit, but after a while we decided to go back to the student accommodation as it was getting cold!❄️ The rest of the evening consisted of treats, movies and lot of laughs! 😊🍿
The next day we woke up and made our way to brunch as we were both starving! After passing a few hung over students who felt sorry for themselves (and some who were still drunk🙄😂) we made our way to Giraffe which was definitely what we both needed! 🍳🥓🥞
After stuffing our faces, we then looked around the city and did some Christmas shopping and also picked up a few goodies. We went into Victoria Secret which I wasn’t so keen on at first. The environment was challenging due to my sensitivity and I’m suprised I didnt have a sensory overload. Anneka was really supportive and kept telling me she was there and if it got too much we could leave and go back to her place which was really thoughtful and kind of her. But I coped ok and even though I didn’t like the shop environment, I fell in love with all products and we both walked away with a few bits for ourselves ☺️
After looking around more shops, we decided to pop into Patisserie Valerie as we were both craving cake! There was so many to choose from as they all looked amazing! 🤤😍 In the end we both settled on Double Chocolate Gateau cake and took them back to Anneka’s dorm to devour them!😋😍
We then spent the rest of our time together eating, looking at all the things we bought and having a good giggle before catching our train back home!🚄💕
I hope you enjoyed todays post! I had such a lovely weekend and really didn’t want it to end, I’m so happy I got to spend time with my sister and that I managed cope well with all my anxieties. It’s also safe to say that I am definetely feeling festive now!🎄 Hope you all had an amazing weekend!😊
