Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well ( I’m still alive!πΒ ) The last couple of months have been crazy and it feels like it’s been forever since I last did a blog post! It feels good to be back and blogging again! I needed to have a little break from my blog just to sort out a few things going on in my life and to just take the time to look after myself. I’m now recharged and ready to rock and roll ( in other words blog! πΒ )
So what have I been doing in the last two months?..
After passing my driving test in May, a month later I bought a car! πΒ It still doesn’t feel real driving around by myself and not being instructed by anyone telling me to follow a certain route or to parallel park behind a sparky jaguar ( which almost gave me heart failure! ) Driving it for the first time went well, until I ran over a very dopey pigeon. I was mortified and upset that I had killed something and I had only been driving the car for 30 minutes! Apparently, to my boyfriends Dad the green ‘P‘ plate at the back of my car stands for pigeon killer… Thanks Paul!π³π But apart from that, it’s been amazing and I can’t wait for all the adventures to come! βΊοΈπ
I also turned 21!! πππΎπβ¨Β It was amazing and I didn’t want it to end, it was magical! Because of my Autism, birthdays aren’t always my thing. The thought of being surprised with something unknown, the change of routine and even the change of my age can make me anxious. But this birthday was different and different isn’t normally my thing. But this time different was good and it made me happy. π
My birthday tea party was definitely something to remember! My Mum wrote a beautiful poem which made me cry, I had a party crasher who was there for the food and was very entertaining to kick out π, My Grandad made a wonderful speech (which also made me cry! ), I managed to throw my birthday cake all over me and the floor π, Allan Gardener ( The Autistic Gardener ) wished me a happy birthday and my amazing boyfriend took me to the beach on my actual birthday and we ate fish and chips out of buckets and spades ( yes you heard that right, literally out of buckets and spades π! ) I couldn’t of asked for a better birthday and having all my favourite people with me made it special! ( Even the uninvited ones! ) πβΊοΈπ
Β I hope you enjoyed todays post, what have you been up to this weekend? I’m now about to spend the rest of my Sunday watching a film with Kieran who wants to watch a Christmas film in the middle of July π! Wasn’t keen on the idea at first but I’m starting to think otherwise! ππ
Congrats on your car and happy to hear you had an amazing birthday!!! π “Pigeon killer” made me laugh π I wish I could get away with watching Christmas movies, I’ve already started listening to songs ππ
Thank you Elsie! πI’m trying to resist listening to Christmas songs as long as possible! π I love Christmas so much I’m already organising and buying presents! πππ
I have no idea what I’m going to get anyone π so grateful for shops like TKmaxx where there’s something for everyone, I just need to remember to take the tags off this year π that was embarrassing ππ
WOW so happy for you my dear Georgina. Can’t believe how fast life goes. It seems like just yesterday that I got to meet two beautiful little girls at the airport In Thunder Bay and spent a week at my house. We all fell in love with you and Annika instantly. Then I went for a visit to England and again had a great time. Your mom did an awesome job raising you two girls.
Keep up the great work Georgina and slow down on the growing up. Love you and sending you a big hug
Thank you Sylvie, time certainly does fly! I remember everything even catching the frogs in your garden! Would love to go back to Canada one day and see everyone again, will have to start saving up! It’s such a beautiful place. Mum definitely did, she’s amazing in every way! Hope you and Johan are well, sending love and hugs from us all from england! β€οΈXxxx
