Happy New Year! I hope you had a wonderful time over the festive period! Honestly don’t know where 2016 went, It was definitely an eventful one!
I’ve been thinking a lot about what I would like to achieve this year. I don’t normally plan goals at the beginning of the new year but as the end of 2016 wasn’t the best for me, I want 2017 to be the most happiest and fulfilling year ever!
Managing my Anxieties
This will be tricky, but I know I can do it! I really want to try and manage my anxiety. At the end of last year it really had control over me, it made me feel really unhappy and stopped me doing the things I love. I know there will be good days and bad days still and that’s okay, I know it won’t always be easy but I know I can kick anxieties ass!
Hitting the Road! (Not literally!)
Sorry to any Aspies reading this, I’m not actually going to start pounding the road with my hands!
I’m hoping to take my driving test sometime this year and (hopefully) pass! I’ve been having driving lessons for 6 months now and have definitely improved a lot in that short amount of time (I’ve also learnt that half of the British population are crap drivers!) So for the next couple of months I want to keep on improving the skills I have learnt and deal with more tricky road situations as I know this will build my confidence and make me a better driver!
I really want to keep up my blog and especially want to write more this year! It has definitely helped me with my anxieties and any other things that have disrupted my life. But it has also helped a lot of people have a better understanding of the Autistic Spectrum, which is amazing! I definitely want to keep writing about my experiences with Autism as I know this helps others, but also want to start documenting more fun things that I can eventually look back on!
Being More Healthy!
This always seems to be everyones new years resolutions and for most, it only lasts 2 weeks (I really want this goal to last more than that!) I want to start doing more exercise as this will not only help me physically but also mentally. This will hopefully make me feel less anxious and make me feel more positive!
This isn’t just a goal for 2017, this is going to be a goal I want to keep up for the rest of my life. I want to make my happiness and well being my priority now as I really abused it last year. I’m going to make sure I take more care of myself and do more of what makes me happy!
I hope your new year resolutions are going well so far! See you very soon!
